Registration open for Oct. 12 CPR/AED class

On Wednesday, Oct. 12, the Environmental Health & Safety office will teach a CPR/AED compressions-only class on campus. Registrations are limited to the first 10 people to contact UAA Emergency Manager Ron Swartz at rcswartz@alaska.edu. Fee is $30, with discounts available for building managers and those who need this certification as defined in their UAA position description. American Safety & Health Institute CPR and AED is designed specifically for laypeople and is an excellent choice for both the community and workplace setting. This extremely flexible program will help prepare people to respond to a cardiac arrest or choking. This program conforms to the 2015 AHA Guidelines Update for CPR and ECC. Class hours will be 9 a.m. to noon.
