July 26, 2017: Retirement celebration for Marie Samson

Please join the School of Nursing in extending our best wishes to Marie Samson, who will be retiring from the university on July 31, 2017. Marie has worked for the University of Alaska Anchorage since 1994. In June 1996, she began serving as the coordinator for Student Affairs in the School of Nursing. Marie spearheaded the creation of a student services office and developed new processes and policies to increase student success rates in the nursing programs. Marie has been a key member of the expansion of the A.A.S. program growth, which is now delivered at 14 outreach sites throughout Alaska. She has been a significant contributor toward the planning and implementation of the trimester system for the B.S. program and the first B.S. cohort admitted to Fairbanks.
