Claudia Lampman, interim vice provost for student success at UAA

Claudia Lampman will begin her new role as interim vice provost for student success Nov. 1, 2017.

Dear UAA Community:

I am pleased to announce that after a thorough internal search process, I have offered the post of interim vice provost for student success to Dr. Claudia Lampman, and she has accepted. She will begin in this new role on Nov. 1, 2017.

Dr. Lampman has served as a professor of psychology for the last 25 years at UAA, and for the last six years she has led the Department of Psychology as director. She has served on the Institutional Review Board, UAA 2020 Executive Team (and Data Collection Team), the Research Compliance Task Force, University Honors Council and the Title IX Climate Committee among many others. Her leadership in the College of Arts and Sciences, membership on campus-wide committees and participation in campus and statewide initiatives have prepared her well for this critically important role that will be instrumental in meeting the needs of our current and future students.

Dr. Lampman is passionate about student success and has demonstrated a willingness and ability to break down barriers, to build bridges across disciplines and departments, and to lead UAA to meet the goals of UAA 2020 and beyond.

Please join me in congratulating Dr. Claudia Lampman and in welcoming her to her new role at UAA.

Sincerely, Duane Hrncir Interim Provost
