Are you looking for outlets to promote your UAA program or services in the community? Want to reach large, diverse populations of potential students from Anchorage or throughout the state? The Office of Recruitment is hosting tables at several upcoming events and we need your help spreading the word about all that UAA has to offer.

Feb. 23, 2018: Panel discussion explores the diversity of Alaska Native village corporations

Fifty years after being established, Alaska Native village corporations vary in an assortment of different shapes and sizes. Join us Feb. 23, 2018 as we explore our differences and celebrate our achievements.

Submit proposals for Alaska Airlines ticket vouchers by Feb. 25, 2018

Alaska Airlines has generously donated vouchers to be used for special projects and development at UAA that support the mission of the university. UAA departments are invited to submit a project proposal that could benefit from the use of these tickets. The proposal period is open now through Feb. 25, 2018.

UAA engineering professor Michele Yatchmeneff honored with NSF Career Award

The National Science Foundation recently awarded its Faculty Early Career Development Award to Dr. Michele Yatchmeneff, an ANSEP alumnus and mentor as well as an engineering professor at University of Alaska Anchorage. The $500,000 research grant, the third NSF grant in Yatchmeneff’s relatively young career, will advance a study on the importance of belonging in Alaska Native STEM education.

Open forums with Alaska College of Education executive dean finalists resume March 7

Two finalists for the position of Executive Dean for the Alaska College of Education will visit UAA to meet with stakeholders and any interested parties. Dr. Steve Atwater will be on campus Feb. 20, 2018, and Dr. Kathryn Hildebrand's visit is set for March 8, 2018.
