Vice Chancellor for Administrative Services candidate open forums set for Feb. 21-22, 2018

Six candidates have been invited to campus to interview for the Vice Chancellor for Administrative Services. Interviews are scheduled through the end of February 2018.

A voice for the Arctic: How two UAA students are raising awareness at home and abroad

UAA students Alliana Salanguit and Alejandro Soto were recently named to Alaska Geographic’s Arctic Youth Ambassadors program. The program selects a cohort of students from across the state to represent Alaska’s Arctic issues on an international stage.

Campus meal plans available for faculty and staff

This is a reminder that staff and faculty can now purchase meal plans for use on campus, and pay for it with payroll deduction! Unlike student meal plans, these do not expire at the end of each semester, and can be used at all Seawolf Dining locations.

Join us Feb. 18, 2018 in the UAA Recital Hall for an evening of passionate and soul-stirring classical music. World-renowned pianist Timothy Smith and clarinetist Karl Pasch will be joined by cellist Lars Hoefs, professor of music at Sao Paulo State University in Campinas, Brazil.

The public is invited to call in to share thoughts on university issues with the Board of Regents during the next public testimony period on Tuesday, Feb. 20. The two-hour call-in session is in advance of the full board meeting, which will be held March 1-2, 2018 in Fairbanks.
