Last month, eight student-leaders headed to Juneau to advocate for their 16,000 classmates in Anchorage. Student Body President Alec Burris and Vice President Geser Bat-Erdene talk about the fly-in, their message to legislators, and the value of student advocacy.

Higher education: Teaching teachers with drones

Drones can play a major role in education, but someone has to teach the teachers first. Thanks to a partnership with UAA, teachers can study drones and earn professional development credits toward their teaching license thanks to a tailored course from alumni-owned Advanced Aerial Education.
