History Professor Ray Ball publishes latest research in Royal Studies Journal and Nursing Clio

Please join us in celebrating History Department Associate Professor Ray Ball for her latest publication in Royal Studies Journal, Volume 5, Issue 2. In her article, Ray discusses how "Court Cities Celebrate[d] Prince Baltasar Carlos: Loyalty, Status, and Identity in the Early Modern Spanish World."

She has also recently published a blog post with Nursing Clio. This piece focuses on the history of medicine and political culture. "Medical Metaphors: The Long History of the Corrupted Body Politic" examines both current notions of rotten politics and sixteenth- and seventeenth-century Spanish debates about a healthy political organism.
