The 2019 Summer Engineering Academies are keeping campus abuzz with activity as elementary, middle and high school students get hands on with science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). With UAA faculty teaching courses like “LEGO Robotics” and “Structure Destruction,” students are learning important concepts while quite literally having a blast.

Regents vote to declare financial exigency

With a vote of 10-1, the UA Board of Regents postponed until July 30 a vote on a declaration of financial exigency and options for restructuring the university system during its special meeting Monday. The regents will meet again next week to continue to discuss the structure of UA.
