USUAA Student Government will host a Veto Protest Rally on Tuesday, July 9, from 5:30–7 p.m., at the Alaska Airlines Center on UAA's campus, and will be joined by special guests Portugal. The Man.
Since the governor vetoed $130 million from UA’s budget, we need your help. As encouraged by President Johnsen, it is critical to contact legislators asking for a veto override of the university’s budget. This veto will severely disrupt our students’ training and education while jeopardizing the economic well-being of Alaska.

Fifty-nine percent of Alaskans who participated in a privately-funded survey said they would support their legislator in an override vote of the recent veto of the legislature’s budget for the University of Alaska.
