Chancellor decisions posted for expedited program and administrative reviews

On March 23, Chancellor Sandeen announced decisions on both administrative and program reductions for FY20-21. The total reduction assigned to UAA beginning July 1, 2020 is $11.8 million. Despite much needed attention directed at the COVID-19 outbreak, the budget cut based on the compact remains a reality for the University of Alaska, and we have been asked to proceed as planned.

In response to the ongoing COVID-19 situation, the University of Alaska Anchorage is collaborating with the statewide University of Alaska system, federal and local partners to slow the virus spread. Please visit the university's coronavirus response website for the most up-to-date information.

Withdrawal deadline is extended (April 10) and information on grading options for spring and summer 2020

UAA faculty and staff are working hard so that you can successfully complete your spring 2020 coursework. I know the unprecedented change of moving most courses to alternative delivery took us all by surprise. I encourage you to work with your instructors to try the new delivery methods, and I have extended the withdrawal deadline to April 10 to help you do so.
