Call to participate in Campus Climate Committee video

The Campus Climate Committee has been focused on LGBTQ+ support on campus this year based on feedback received in the Spring 2019 Campus Climate Survey. One of the committee’s projects is creating a video that targets UAA’s inclusive climate for all, including LGTBQ+ student, faculty and staff, to be released at Campus Kickoff on Aug. 22. We would like to invite you to participate in the end of the video with a few words of encouragement for the LGBTQ+ community.

Chancellor update on fall ’20 Seawolf Athletics

The GNAC CEO Board has voted to suspend all fall athletic competition until at least Nov. 30 due to the ongoing and increasing risks associated with the COVID-19 pandemic. This is not a conclusion any of us would choose if not confronted with such a real threat to the collective health of our student-athletes, coaches and staff, fans and supporters.

Weekly dialogue series launching in fall; planning meeting July 22

Within the past year, many student organizations and departments have facilitated student-led conversations about difficult topics — all of which effected meaningful and robust conversation. Student Activities is interested in supporting departments and groups who continue these discussions during a time when engagement and dialogue can be difficult.
