by Green & Gold News  |

Be a part of an innovative learning community that makes higher education more accessible for Alaska’s learners. Textbook Affordability Fellows combine sound course design, technological integration, and material affordability to enhance both teaching and learning. The emphasis for our 2021-2022 Textbook Affordability Fellowship will be to design or re-design courses using free-to-access course materials, such as Open Educational Resources (OERs).

Textbook Affordability Fellows work closely as a community throughout the year to transition course materials and re/design courses. Textbook Affordability Fellows are awarded financial compensation upon completion of their projects.

Applying to the Textbook Affordability Fellowship is a competitive process. Applications are reviewed by a selection committee from the Alaska Open Education Initiative and the Textbook Affordability Committee. Application due March 15, 2021. Applicants will be notified about acceptance into the program by April 4, 2021.
