Accreditation Series — Core Competency Open Forum
Personal, Professional and Community Responsibility

How does your program or service help students meet this core competency?
How will you know when students have achieved it?

Who: The Open Forum is open to all participants. In particular, it is aimed at faculty and staff, chairs and unit leaders, assessment coordinators and others who participate in the intentional planning, consistent implementation, and meaningful assessment of assignments and activities that lead to student proficiency in this core competency.

What: A hands-on workshop to incorporate the new UAA core competency, Personal, Professional and Community Responsibility, into your program or service and your regular assessment processes. Even if your program or service is already doing this, attendance is important to ensure the institution can report on your efforts.

When: Friday, March 5, 2021, 9–11 a.m.

Where: Zoom — register here.

Why: Incorporating UAA’s Core Competencies into our regular processes will facilitate the intentional and consistent integration of student learning experiences throughout the UAA community.

The Annual Academic Assessment Retreat on the morning of May 6 will be dedicated to finalizing this work. Please hold that time as well. More information forthcoming.

If you require live captioning or ASL interpretation, please notify Academic Affairs at uaa.oaa@alaska.edu by Monday, March 1.
