Limited supply of COVID-19 vaccines available at SHCC in March

by UAA Student Health and Counseling Center  |

The UAA Student Health and Counseling Center (SHCC) will have a limited supply of COVID-19 vaccines in March. The vaccine is available to UAA students and employees.

On March 9, Gov. Dunleavy announced the state had broadened eligibility to include all Alaskans age 16 and over. Alaska is the first state in the nation to make vaccination available to all members of the public.

If you are a UAA student or employee, call the SHCC to schedule a COVID-19 vaccine appointment at (907) 786-4050. Appointments are available on March 23 and 24. SHCC will announce more by-appointment vaccination dates in the coming weeks for students and employees.

Our vaccine supply requires two doses. Please only sign up if you are able to return to the Anchorage campus for the second vaccine dose three weeks after the first.

For more information about other local vaccine providers, please review recent communications from the UA statewide office. Please remember that until more people in our state are vaccinated, it's important to continue practicing COVID-19 safety measures: Wear a mask, avoid gatherings of people outside your household, stay 6 feet away from others and wash your hands frequently. Remaining vigilant now will allow all of us to be together in person sooner.
