On campus for Fall 2021 semester
by Lora Volden, Interim Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs |
Hello Seawolves,
Yesterday, Interim Chancellor Bruce Schultz shared plans for UAA’s Anchorage campus to return to on-site operations this fall. We heard from many of you that returning to face-to-face activities and courses is important, and we’re working hard to make it happen.
Here’s what you should know:
Faculty and staff are preparing for in-person operations this fall. Employees will begin returning to on-campus work in late May and June. Some functions and activities will be available to students currently taking summer courses. On Aug. 2, the Anchorage campus will open to all faculty, staff and students.
Fall classes begin on Aug. 23, and we look forward to seeing you. UAA will offer a full and vibrant lineup of campus activities and sporting events, in addition to academic classes and student support services.
Please check out all the financial aid opportunities available to you, including new scholarships and grants to help you continue working toward graduation. Academic advisors and financial aid counselors stand ready to help you adjust your course schedule and find ways to finance your education.
In closing, we are making plans for a fully operational fall, and we hope you are making plans to return, too.
Sincerely,
Lora Volden
Interim Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs
