Office of the Bursar early closure June 30

The UAA Office of the Bursar will be closing to in-person services at noon on Wednesday, June 30 for fiscal year end processing. All department deposits are due to the Cashiering Office (located in Eugene Short Hall, suite 102) no later than noon on June 30. Student account access through UAOnline will be available until 3 p.m. Regular business hours will resume Thursday, July 1.

Engineering Academies for 3rd-12th graders: Sign up today!

Calling all future engineers! There's still room for more virtual campers in the UAA Summer Engineering Academies. Our camps include 3D Printing and Design, Creative Coding, Minecraft Coding, and LEGO Robotics Junior. Thanks to the generous sponsorship of ConocoPhillips and the MTA Foundation, the weeklong camps cost only $100 and tuition waivers are available for families with financial need.

Student Union reservations update

The University of Alaska Anchorage has stated that in-person events are not permissible indoors, with exceptions for small indoor meetings with social distancing for employees authorized to be on campus. As the university continues to monitor and evaluate event options for the future, the Student Union will begin to allow student organizations, departments and exterior clients the opportunity to “hold” reservations for Fall 2021.

Q&A Session - Return to Work Guidelines

As indicated in the memo from David Bishko, Interim UA CHRO, on June 9, 2021, regarding the universities transition into phase C and employees returning to work on campuses this summer and into the fall, UA Human Resources will be conducting general Q&A sessions regarding return to work guidelines and telework forms.

UAA celebrates Juneteenth 2021

UAA celebrates Juneteenth on Thursday, June 17 at 7 p.m., with a 30th anniversary showing of Boyz N The Hood at Century 16, and on Saturday, June 19 at 1 p.m. at the Juneteenth Citywide Celebration. We will have Juneteenth trivia and FREE Juneteenth t-shirts from UAA!
