Faculty and Staff Diversity Database Survey request for participation

The Faculty Senate Diversity Committee has been developing a diversity database survey to collect data from staff and faculty in regards to their diversity related activities. The data collected will be relevant to multiple UAA efforts. We have plans to publish the data publicly online. We sincerely hope you will take the time to participate to help us get an accurate picture of diversity activities at UAA.

Notice of spring 2022 semester mandatory student fees

The UAA Anchorage campus consolidated mandatory student fee of $36.50 per credit remains unchanged for the spring 2022 semester. This fee is assessed starting when a student registers for one credit. The fee applies to all students, in all UAA Anchorage courses, regardless of the delivery mode or location. The UA Network Charge and the Facilities Fee are assessed as separate fees. RESCHEDULED: Office of the Registrar hosts Transfer Evaluations Brown Bag

Priority registration for Spring 2022 begins November 5th and students are transferring in to attend UAA. Help make sure you and your students are ready for another amazing semester by attending this transfer credit brown bag session hosted by the Office of the Registrar.

The College of Business and Public Policy (CBPP) Student Advising Center is seeking a Student Assistant. We are looking for a quick learner who is energetic and organized. You will gain office experience and customer service skills, all while working with a great team of professionals and supporting the students of CBPP.

Nov. 10: Natural Resources of Alaska

Janet Weiss is a former regional president of BP Alaska. She has over 30 years of organizational leadership experience and has played an important role for Alaska's economy, specifically in the natural resource sector. She will be presenting on natural resource economics and her experience as an executive.

Dr. Diane Hirshberg appointed ISER Interim Director

Dr. Diane Hirshberg, Professor of Education, has been appointed Interim Director of the Institute of Social and Economic Research (ISER). Dr. Hirshberg is an 18-year veteran of UAA and ISER, and has served in leadership roles such as President of UAA’s faculty senate and advisor to the Chancellor on Arctic Research and Education. She was the founding director of the Center for Alaska Education Policy Research and is currently Vice-President Academic at the University of the Arctic.
