The College of Arts and Sciences is accepting applicants for an Academic & Student Support Administrative Assistant. This position is classified as an Administrative Generalist 3 and is crucial to maintaining Academic and Student support for multiple departments in one or more divisions within the College of Arts and Sciences. The position will facilitate and participate in clerical functions in order to ensure the smooth organization and work flow in a team office setting.

Free Seawolf suite tickets for Veterans Day!

Campus Services has generously provided Military & Veteran Student Services with suite tickets to basketball games and a volleyball game on Saturday, Nov. 20. Stop the MVSS Resource Center located in the Student Union, Room 102 to pick up your tickets. Limit two tickets per person and must provide proof of military affiliation. ALEKS placement test for Mathematics now includes proctoring through Respondus

ALEKS placement test for Mathematics now includes proctoring through Respondus. This is a statewide update to improve placement accuracy and student success. Other ALEKS PPL configurations will remain the same. Through the virtual proctoring format, students may complete the placement test at any time. Students will continue to be limited to a maximum of three hours per test and a maximum of five tests per year.

Alaska Native studies associate program celebrates first graduate

Retired U.S. Army Staff Sergeant Cammie Wickline became the first graduate of the Associate of Arts in Alaska Native Studies at UAA. Founded in 2020, the program was established to provide students a critical perspective on Alaska Native cultures, histories, politics and organizations.
