GER assessment needs your students' written work
As part of UAA’s regular GER assessment process and in preparation for UAA’s October 2021 NWCCU mid-cycle review site visit, a committee of faculty members representing all UAA colleges will be assessing the following GER student learning outcome: Communicate effectively in a variety of contexts and formats. We will be focusing on written communication. For that, we need your help.
Support UAA students from the classroom to the stadium
As the University of Alaska prepares to launch the largest public fundraising effort in state history, fundraising campaigns Save UAA Gymnastics and Save Seawolf Hockey are still going strong. Both gymnastics and hockey are hoping to see the same success as UAA’s skiing program, which was similarly planned for elimination until supporters successfully raised two years of operating expenses.

Interim Chancellor Bruce Schultz will host a conversation with Claudia Lampman, vice provost for student success, and Lora Volden, interim vice chancellor for student affairs. Lampman and Volden will discuss new and ongoing initiatives taking place this semester in support of student success, as well as student recruitment efforts currently underway for fall.
