The Emergency Broadband Benefit is an FCC program to help families and households struggling to afford internet service during the COVID-19 pandemic. This new benefit will connect eligible households to jobs, critical healthcare services, virtual classrooms and so much more.

College of Engineering is seeking a candidate to lead/participate in student recruitment efforts, including organization of events for prospective students, development of materials and presentations, conducting classroom presentations, and representing the college at high schools and college and career fairs. The Alaska NSF EPSCoR Fire & Ice project announces the availability of funding to enable UA faculty, staff and students to present their research, to interact with colleagues and mentors, and/or to obtain training. Grants may be used for travel to, or remote attendance at, conferences, workshops, trainings, or other appropriate academic settings. Awards are for up to $3,500 and cover domestic travel only (remote participation in international events is allowed). Application deadline is rolling through August 31, 2021 and travel or participation must be completed by September 30, 2021.
