Call for Meritorious Service Award nominations

The Meritorious Service Awards Committee is reaching out to the community for suggested nominees. The criteria as outlined in the Board of Regents’ Policy (Part X – Academic Policy - Chapter 10.03.030), is evidence of significant public, academic, volunteer or philanthropic service to UAA or one of its community campuses, or to an Alaskan community.

Course reserve materials at the UAA/APU Consortium Library

Students, you can find out if your instructor has placed any course materials including textbooks on reserve at the Consortium Library online at: libguides.consortiumlibrary.org/Reserves. Please note: Not all textbooks are available on reserve. ​We know that textbooks can be expensive. Visit the library's Textbooks page at libguides.consortiumlibrary.org/textbooks for more suggestions on how to lower your textbook costs.

Reminder: Register your new WolfCard

Course reserve materials at the UAA/APU Consortium Library

As the spring semester approaches, it is the time to place textbooks and other course materials on reserve for your students at the UAA/APU Consortium Library. Due to ever-rising education costs, the consideration of textbook affordability is an opportunity for us to support our students and course reserves is one way to enhance student success.

CBPP Dean’s Office awards 2021 Scholarships

The Dean’s Office has awarded twenty-three students with scholarships to continue their studies in the College of Business and Public Policy (CBPP). Recipients are selected by CBPP’s Scholarship Committee on the basis of merit, talent, or leadership/community involvement.

Interim Chancellor Schultz comments on events in nation’s capital

"Watching, listening to and reading about the violent events that occurred in Washington, D.C. yesterday is upsetting and unsettling," wrote Interim Chancellor Bruce Schultz in a message to the UAA community. "The disregard for order in our sacred democracy and the violence that ensued as armed rioters interrupted Congress in their attempts to certify the results of the U.S. presidency is a harrowing moment in our country's history."

Job opening: Director of Infrastructure Services

UAA Information Technology Services is seeking a highly qualified individual for our Director of Infrastructure Services position. The Director of Infrastructure Services is responsible for leading the infrastructure side of UAA IT Services. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in team leadership and possess knowledge of a wide range of information technology infrastructure. To ensure consideration, be sure to submit an application by the review date of Jan. 20.

Spring Semester 2021 Zoom Training

Live Zoom training, presented by OIT Video Conferencing Services staff, will be available Jan. 8, 11 and 14 for the spring semester start. Offerings include the Zoom Basics Training and the Beyond the Basics Training with an Ask Me Anything section. The Beyond the Basics training will cover breakout rooms, meeting security and any other topics you have questions about.
