Alaska's economy is in recovery mode, but how much optimism is warranted this year? Join ISER for an online presentation Wedensday, Jan. 26, from noon-1 p.m. for insights from economist Mouhcine Guettabi. He will give an overview of how the economy has changed since the onset of the pandemic and a look at the opportunities and challenges for Alaska in 2022.

This Friday, the University of Alaska Anchorage and ConocoPhillips Alaska announced the 2022 recipients of the ConocoPhillips Arctic Science and Engineering Endowment Award.

Due to health and safety protocols, this weekend’s Alaska Anchorage gymnastics meets against UC Davis have been canceled. The Seawolves had been set to host the Aggies on Friday and Sunday at the Alaska Airlines Center. The UAA College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) is seeking a Social Media and Marketing Assistant to help tell the amazing stories of the CAS community. The Social Media and Marketing Assistant will work directly with the CAS Communications Specialist to develop creative digital content, write stories that capture the unique CAS environment, and work to bring a fresh perspective to CAS’ online presence.

We are a group of senior nursing students conducting a survey for COVID-19 vaccine awareness in the UAA campus population. The University of Alaska Anchorage, School of Nursing senior nursing students are completing an academic assessment project about COVID vaccination awareness in the community. There has been an Institutional Review Board Determination that this is considered to be non-research. This information will be used to develop a community awareness campaign using public service announcements.
