Pharmacy and nursing students to administer health screenings in rural Alaska

This March, students from UAA’s pharmacy and nurse practitioner programs will travel to Pilot Station and Akiak to administer free health screenings to Head Start students.

Seawolves compete at Beijing Olympics

The Center for Human Development is seeking applications for a Research Professional. This individual will work as part of the Center's research and evaluation team to complete project objectives. Requirements include the ability to organize, plan, and design, research/evaluation activities, analyze and synthesize results, and write project reports.

Graduate students will work with researchers at the Institute for Social and Economic Research (ISER) on a variety of projects related to arctic urban and rural social-ecological systems.

2022 Virtual Alaska Food Festival & Conference

Registration is open for the 2022 Virtual Alaska Food Festival and Conference. This year’s theme is “Everybody Eats: Nourishing Our Culture, Our Health, Our Future.” It opens with a pre-conference movie on Thursday, March 17, and the full conference runs Friday and Saturday, March 18-19.

Anchorage campus closed Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2022

Due to slick and dangerous weather conditions on campus, and out of an abundance of caution, UAA will be closed today, Feb. 22, 2022. All on-campus events and activities are canceled. All classes — online and in-person — are canceled. Employees should work remotely, as they are able, and communicate with their supervisors to make appropriate arrangements.
