The Center for Human Development is seeking applications for a Family Services Training Center Lead Behavioral Health Training Coordinator. This position will provide coordination and facilitate non-academic training instruction for the professional/licensed behavioral health service provider workforce and support career development opportunities for paraprofessionals, professionals and stakeholders providing child and family services across Alaska. This position requires knowledge of evidence-based family treatment models and foundational family engagement interventions for Alaska State Behavioral Health Providers. This position will also be a training team member and serve as the lead for both in-person and distance delivered program training activities focused on collaborating with Alaskan communities to train rural behavioral health care providers. Knowledge of Behavioral Health professional/clinical services background and understanding of/experience in rural Alaska beneficial.
This position will work under the supervision of the Family Services Training Center (FSTC) Director at the UAA Center for Human Development. The grant funded FSTC program mission is to develop and implement a family services training center to provide family treatment model trainings to Alaska State Behavioral Health Providers, by ensuring that training technical assistance and workforce training is accessible and coordinated statewide.
