This week marks the halfway point for the constitutionally mandated 121-day legislative session. During the week lawmakers received an updated picture of the state’s finances and President Pitney spoke with Senate Finance Committee members about the university system’s current operations and our budget requests.

UAA is pleased to announce the 2021 UAA Alumni of Distinction awards recipients: Alumni Emerging Leader Kira Apaachuaq Eckenweiler; Alumni Humanitarian Amanda Metivier; and Alumni of Achievement Dr. Cynthia Teniente-Matson. The three distinguished UAA alumni will be honored for their outstanding contributions in their chosen fields and communities at the UAA Alumni of Achievement Banquet on April 23.

We are looking for student volunteers to help us improve the library website by allowing us to observe you spending about 15-30 minutes performing a set of tasks on the website.

AEDC seeks UAA business or economics student to serve as an intern

AEDC is seeking a two-week intern to perform data gathering for the Cost of Living Index (COLI), a national survey of 260+ communities that measures the average cost of living in an average city in America and then provides analysis of the cost of living competitiveness of all cities participating in the survey. In 2022 Anchorage, Fairbanks, Juneau and Kodiak participated in the survey.
