Registration now open: 2022 CCEL May Faculty Intensive

by UAA Center for Community Engagement & Learning  |

The past couple years have been difficult for everyone. Most are feeling isolated and burned out. Our goal in this intensive is to facilitate connections and generate inspiration.

Here’s the plan:
For this year’s May Intensive, we’ll be going on location. The first part of the day will be spent in the Anchorage Museum. We will explore the exhibits and, with prompts provided, consider the range of ways your class(es) might be connected to these resources. Examples will be provided and members of the Museum’s engagement team will be present to share more about how they can collaborate on a range of assignments and activities.

We’ll then take a tour of downtown Anchorage – yes, I realize you all likely have visited the downtown area numerous times – the focus of this tour will be considering the place-based work that could be done. There will be specific stops along the way, highlighting historic or noteworthy locations and work that has already been done by UAA students.

More information is available here.

This year's May Faculty Intensive will take place Friday, May 6, from 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m. The deadline to apply is April 22, 2022.
