Residence Coordinator (RC) Open Forums

Candidates were asked to prepare a 15-20 minute presentation on the following topic to start the open forum: "In a world still in the grips of a pandemic, many aspects of our lives still exist in a virtual space. What does this mean for residential communities at universities where a majority of courses are now being taught online? What aspects of the experience of living on-campus would you highlight to attract this generation of students?"

Yesterday, I had the opportunity to welcome the delegates at one of the largest Arctic policy events in the United States, and share the great work we’re doing at UAA. The Arctic Encounter Symposium in Anchorage gathered scientists, Indigenous leaders, policymakers, business leaders and students.

Job opening: UAA IT Business Coordinator

UAA Information Technology (IT) Services is seeking applications for the Business Coordinator position. The Business Coordinator is an essential member of the IT Business Office team, which provides support both internally to the IT Services team and externally to the UAA community. Responsibilities include finance and purchasing, administrative and program support, human resource management, billing, and office operations.

Perseverance to performance: UAA Music’s Symphony of Sounds returns to the in-person stage

This past weekend, UAA music students performed a wide range of musical styles in the Fine Arts Building Recital Hall for the Symphony of Sounds, one of the first major face-to-face showcases open to the public since the pandemic began.
