Dear UAA faculty and staff,
Take time to nominate your colleagues for the Chancellor’s Awards for Excellence! The program is accepting nominations for the 2022 awards now through Friday, April 29. These awards recognize UAA employees for extraordinary work and dedication to our students and university community.
This year's program accepts nominations from all UAA campus locations in five categories. Awards in each category are open to individuals from the Anchorage campus, and an award in each category will come from the community campuses. In all, there will be 12 awards. Awardees will receive $250.
We Put Students First: The Students-First Award
Demonstrates exceptional commitment to advancing a culture of institutional excellence
that inspires and enables student achievement and success.
We Create a Culture of Equity and Inclusion by Embracing Our Diversity: Excellence
in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
Outstanding contribution to the advancement of diversity of UAA students, staff and
faculty through increasing the visibility and representation of diverse voices and
creating an atmosphere of inclusiveness and community.
We Advance Innovation: The Research and Creative Activity Award
Outstanding contribution to growth in research, creative activity and commercialization
at UAA with impacts that benefit our state and communities.
We Accelerate Excellence Through Continuous Improvement: The Administrative Excellence
Award
Exercises leadership, initiative and outstanding teamwork capabilities that create
a positive atmosphere, and consistently performs at a level above normal job requirements
to advance a culture of institutional excellence that inspires and enables student,
faculty and staff success.
We are a Trusted and Respected Community Partner: The Chancellor’s Choice Award
This award is for achievement and innovation (best idea) in a category or theme of
the chancellor's choice. The theme for 2022 is opportunity creation and this award
celebrates an opportunity creator among us who is others-focused.
Let’s highlight the great work that happens in classrooms, labs, in the field, inside offices and in conference rooms across UAA. Please submit your nominations by the Friday, April 29 deadline.
