Live on campus and save money through UAA’s Live and Learn in Alaska Initiative

UAA students who are charged the non-resident tuition rate can now save up to $566 per credit hour while enjoying the benefits and support offered to students who live on-campus through the Live and Learn in Alaska Initiative. Starting fall of 2022, non-resident students who live in the residential community on the Anchorage campus will pay the equivalent of in-state tuition on both distance learning and in-person courses. That is a possible savings of more than $15,000 next academic year!

UAA has also announced the creation of the General Housing Scholarship being implemented next fall, which will reduce the cost of housing by $1,000 in the fall and spring semesters ($2,000 in annual savings) for every resident and room type. Students in the University Honors College can save even more on their housing costs ($750 per semester/$1,500 annually) through the Academic Honors Housing Scholarship. Given that every residence hall and apartment building on campus has been renovated in the last five years, there has never been a better time to live in student housing at UAA!

The housing application for the summer as well as the 2022-2023 academic year are available now and can be accessed through UAOnline. For detailed instructions on submitting your application, please visit the How to Apply for Housing page on our website.
