Adina Allen participated in the Semester by the Bay program while on exchange to the University of Alaska-Anchorage. She delivered two professional presentations, submitted a research proposal, presented a field report in poster form, and wrote and recorded an educational segment for a local radio station.
We are showing our newest film, Birth of Planet Earth, alongside another fulldome film all about our planet, Dynamic Earth. Presenter, Omega Smith (UAA Planetarian and NASA Solar System Ambassador) will speak about how NASA is studying Earth in many different ways and what we have learned from these missions.

Greetings, colleagues! I am excited to join the Seawolf family and looking forward to our relocation to Anchorage from northern Idaho. Unfortunately, securing an unfurnished house with fenced back yard that allows pets with a lease start date of August 15-September 15 is proving a challenge.

As the summer continues and we enjoy spending time outdoors in Alaska, we want to remind everyone that UAA is a smoke and tobacco-free campus. UAA has been a smoke and tobacco-free campus since 2015, following a Board of Regents vote to institute this policy on all University of Alaska campuses.

I anticipate most of you have seen or heard that next Saturday, July 9, the Save America political action committee will be renting the Alaska Airlines Center to host a rally for several political candidates. Please note that UAA is not hosting the event.
UAA will be closed Monday, July 4, and Tuesday, July 5, in observance of the Independence Day holiday.
