AK-SAKI conducts research on DPS policies, procedures

The UAA Justice Center worked in partnership with the Alaska Department of Public Safety (DPS) through the Federal Bureau of Justice Assistance funded Alaska Sexual Assault Kit Initiative (AK-SAKI) to conduct research on DPS policies and procedures related to sexual assault investigations, prosecutions, and victim-survivor engagement and support.

Fall 2022 update on COVID-19

We relaxed our masking requirements over the summer with the caveat that policies may change if CDC guidance changes. Our COVID-19 policies will not change at this time, but the UAA Business Continuity Team is monitoring the situation and assessing how it affects the campus community.

Rasmuson Foundation honors UAA alumni and faculty with artist awards

Rasmuson Foundation Individual Artist Awards 2022

Thirty-six Alaska artists have been named recipients of the 2022 Individual Artist Awards. An annual initiative managed by the Rasmuson Foundation, this year’s awardees include six UAA alumni and two faculty — three receiving $18,000 fellowships and five winning $7,500 project awards.
