Magnus Noroey came to Alaska from Norway in 2019 to study management and compete on the UAA ski team. The dual major in finance and management with a property management and real estate concentration has fully embraced his UAA experience.

Stalking is a common issue on college campuses

The most common stalking behaviors reported by college stalking victims include: unwanted voice or text messages (45%); unwanted emails or social media (44%); being approached or seeing the stalker show up at places when the victim did not want them to be there (37%). Between 6% and 39% of college students report being stalked since entering college.

The UA Staff Alliance is pleased to offer a scholarship for UA classes taken by staff that directly support their career or professional development. The scholarship, good for the 2023 Spring Semester, is for up to $250 per employee, while the funds last.

The Cabin Fever Debates return!

The Seawolf Debate Program is excited about the return of Cabin Fever Debates, UAA's intramural debating tournament for 2023. Free to enter for any UAA student enrolled in at least 6 credits in the Spring '23 semester, the tournament offers the opportunity for students to practice their critical thinking and advocacy skills while competing to win over $2000 in prizes.
