The Learning Commons has moved to its newly renovated space on the 1st Floor of the Consortium Library! With Sally Monserud Hall soon to be renovated for Nursing simulation labs, the services of the Learning Commons were given a new home in the library.
In February, selected UAA students will have the opportunity to take the National College Health Assessment (NCHA). This survey will offer invaluable insight on UAA students on a range of topics including substance use, mental health, sexual health and sleep.

The Campus-Community Emergency Response Team (C-CERT) Program educates people about disaster preparedness for hazards that may impact their area and trains them in basic disaster response skills, such as fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization, and disaster medical operations.
UAA Emergency Management is looking for volunteers among the staff and faculty who are interested in taking part in an upcoming emergency management exercise. On March 8, 2024, from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m., UAA Emergency Management and community partners will simulate a large earthquake event to test existing procedures.
Themed around reaffirmation, the latest issue of UAA’s premier publication profiles alumni who have reaffirmed their connections to their communities, including the president of Enstar Natural Gas, the winner of the Alaska Artistic License Plate Competition, and UAA's latest recipient of the Fulbright U.S. Student Program grant.
