AI-UNITE workshop, Dec. 5

You are invited to the AI-UNITE Workshop on Friday, Dec. 5, 3-5 p.m. in UAA Commons 107.

The primary goal of this workshop is to connect community members, faculty, and students to solve real-world, Alaska-related problems using artificial intelligence.

Workshop activities will include:

  • Hear presentations from students working with community partners in diverse domains and leading  initiatives such as the AIR Club.
  • Host roundtable discussions to brainstorm how we can best facilitate collaboration.
  • Identify pathways for building effective, interdisciplinary research teams.
  • Student Mini-Challenge Award announcements.

We especially welcome individuals from industry, government, and non-profit organizations to attend and participate.

The AI-UNITE: Advancing Inclusivity, Unity, Networking, Innovation, Technology, and Education for Enhanced AI Innovation Capacity in Alaska,  funded by the National Science Foundation, aims to promote inclusivity and build AI literacy across the community, regardless of individuals’ educational background.
