Recently University Police (UPD) has received multiple reports of gas siphoning from vehicles on the Anchorage campus and Aviation Complex. Occasionally this issue arises on our campuses, particularly in the winter season. We encourage our campus community to report any suspicious activity to UPD at 907-786-1120 or via the Rave Guardian Safety App, which allows the reporter to include a photo in their submission.

Additional parking safety tips:

• Park in well-lit, high-traffic areas whenever possible
• Keep your gas tank locked or install a locking gas cap
• Avoid leaving your vehicle unattended for extended periods
• Report any suspicious activity to campus security immediately
