Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)

The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) affords eligible students certain rights with respect to their education records. An "eligible student" under FERPA is a student who is 18 years of age or older or who attends a postsecondary institution. FERPA Online Training for Faculty and Staff

 If you need to complete or renew your FERPA Certification, please log in to UAOnline, go to the Employee tab, click on Employee E-Learning, then click on FERPA Online Training. You will be taken to the University of Alaska System website to complete the training.
