Anchorage Campus – Safety Committee

The University Campus Safety Committee meets periodically throughout the academic year. The committee is an advisory body to the Chancellor and the University Police, regarding issues pertaining to safety on the Anchorage campus. The committee provides periodic reports on campus safety awareness and other matters of concern, or recommendations for improving safety on the Anchorage campus.

The committee encourages accountability for safety awareness by:

  • recommending the funding needed to address new and existing safety programs and needs,
  • recognizing campus safety improvements through commendations and awards, and
  • sharing of safety-related information.

The committee also periodically develops and submits reports assessing and summarizing the campus safety record and recommending improvements.
