Angelia Trujillo,DNP, RN, SANE-A, SANE-P
Angelia Trujillo is an Assistant Professor with the University of Alaska Anchorage, School of Nursing. Her teaching focus is community health, forensic nursing and sexuality in health and illness. Research focus currently is interpersonal violence and prevention.
Ms. Trujillo has worked in the field of interpersonal violence, sexual assault and public health for approximately 11 years. Angelia obtained her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) with a focus on Forensic Nursing in 2008 from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis and also holds a Master's of Science - Advanced Community Health Nursing from the University of Alaska Anchorage. She is a forensic nurse examiner for Alaska CARES - The Anchorage based child advocacy center working with children who have been physically and sexually abused. In addition, Angelia has presented at the local, state and national level on issues of interpersonal violence and public health, serves on the Alaska Violent Death Reporting System Advisory Board and is a manuscript reviewer for the Journal of Forensic Nursing.
