Eileen Weatherby, RN, MS, MBA, CNE
Eileen Weatherby has worked for over 30 years as a Registered Nurse in the capacity of staff nurse, charge nurse, manager, and teacher. Mrs. Weatherby earned an Associate of Science and a Bachelor of Science degree from Dickinson State University in North Dakota, a Master of Business Administration from the University of Alaska-Fairbanks, and a Master of Science from the University of Alaska-Anchorage. She also attended the University of Northern Colorado for two semesters earning credits toward the Master of Science Degree. Most of Mrs. Weatherby's Clinical experience occurred in adult critical-care units in Dickinson & Bismarck, ND; Billings, MT; and Anchorage & Fairbanks, AK. Mrs. Weatherby held Critical-Care Registered Nurse certification for over 20 years with a cardiovascular-medical focus. Mrs. Weatherby teaches and/or coordinates the following courses in the UAA School of Nursing Associate of Applied Science Program: Introduction to Nursing, Success in Nursing School, Nursing Fundamentals, Adult Health Nursing I, and Pharmacology for Nurses. She earned recognition as a Certified Nurse Educator through the National League for Nursing. Mrs. Weatherby lives with her husband, Thor, Jr., in Fairbanks where she delivers course content via video conference and Blackboard to remote Alaska communities, and provides lab and clinical experiences locally for the Fairbanks nursing students.
