You are invited to our last career fair for the 2017-2018 school year to network with employers from a variety of industries to and learn about their full-time, part-time, internship, and/or seasonal positions.
All UAA and community members that are job searching are welcome to attend, free of charge!
Make a great first impression. Be sure to come professionally dressed with multiple copies of your resume to give to employers! Do your research on the businesses beforehand and prepare appropriate questions for their representatives.

Focus: Recruiting UAA students and alumni for current, spring, or summer employment and/or internship opportunities. Marketing efforts for this career fair will be on UAA students and alumni.

- $125 Early Bird Rate: Monday, March 12th to 5:00 pm (AKST) on Friday, April 6th
- $225 Late Rate: After 5:00 pm (AKST) on Friday, April 6th until 5:00 pm (AKST) on Tuesday, April 10th
- Non-Profit/Government Agency Discount: $25 off
UAA Career Exploration & Services will provide the following for this career fair:
- 1 table (5' x 3') with table skirt
- 2 chairs
- Lunch for up to 2 representatives*
- If registered by 12 pm (AKST) on April 9th: Ability to select table location (access to electricity and space for backdrop displays dependent on the table you/your colleagues select)
- Associated career fair materials and advertising
- Discounts on ads in The Northern Lights (UAA school newspaper)
- Discount rate on hotel closest to the UAA campus
*Note: 3-5 attending representatives = an additional $25 per person
An additional representative is a 3rd, 4th, or 5th representative attending the career fair for 2 hours or more and/or expecting a lunch and chair.
After registering, you'll receive a confirmation email with further event details and payment instructions.
If registered by 12 pm (AKST) on April 9th, you'll receive the Table Selection email in order to select your company's/organization's table location by 5 pm (AKST) on April 9th.
"Walk-In"/Same Day Employers
Employers that are not registered for the 2018 UAA We're Hiring! Career Fair and show up the day of the career fair (Thursday, April 12, 2018) still wanting to participate, will receive the base fee ($225) and an additional "Walk-In"/Same Day Participation Fee ($75) for a total of $300. An invoice will be created and emailed to a representative for the organization/company after the day of the event.

Only the following lots are free to park in on Thursday, April 12th from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm courtesy of UAA Career Exploration & Services:
- South Parking Lot (closest to the UAA Bookstore/Student Union entrance)
- West Campus Central Lot
- Sports Complex West Lot
- Sports Complex NW Lot
- North Lot
- West Lot
- Health Sciences Building Lot
Parking regulations (including meters, fire lanes, handicapped spaces, other reserved parking, etc.) are in effect during this event. Violations may result in ticketing by UAA Parking Services. Do NOT park in the Brown Permit Required spots with signs stating: Parking for Maintenance & Vendor Vehicles Only, 2 HR Limit.
The UAA Career Exploration & Services does not assume responsibility for parking charges incurred because a vehicle was parked illegally or in a lot that is not indicated as a Waived-Fee parking lot.
- Why are your career fairs in the UAA Student Union?
The focus of the career fairs hosted by UAA Career Exploration & Services is to allow UAA students and alumni to meet with and network with employers on the main campus (where most UAA students are and alumni are usually familiar with). Other organizations (e.g. Alaska Department of Labor & Workforce Development, Alaska Dispatch News) already host career fairs at other UAA venues so we want to provide a different networking environment for UAA students and alumni while keeping the budget situation in mind.
