Campus Kick-Off Events

  • What is the Campus Kick-Off Festival?
The Cuddy Quad is filled with booths sponsored by UAA student clubs and organizations, departments, and community businesses.  Booths will be giving out information, swag and even prizes! The Campus Kick-Off festival features live music, roving acts, and food trucks! Please be sure to take time to sit and eat some great food from local food trucks (cost for food, bring money) and enjoy the music!  The Festival has great energy and is a great way to meet new people!
  • What is the Entertainment Show?
In past years, Campus Kick-off committee ensures every year that there is a comedy act for Campus Kick-Off's Comedy Show. Although, there has been discussion on having either comedy or a local band/artist. We are referring to this as an Entertainment show for the time being. This is still being determined for the 2018 Campus Kickoff event. It usually takes place right after the Festival and is one of the most popular events for Campus Kick-Off.  It is located in the Wendy Williamson Auditorium, which can hold up to 900 people.  The acts vary each year and are chosen by the Campus Kick-Off Entertainment Committee.
  • What is the Walk-Up Movie?
This wonderful tradition began in 2011 and has become a big hit!  What would be better than watching a movie outside in Alaska?  Right in the Cuddy Quad around 9:30pm by Rasmusen Hall a big movie screen is erected and students can all hang out together and watch a movie chosen by your peers.  Free food and more prizes are given from this event too!
  • What/Where is College Night at Fred Meyer?
College Night at the Fred Meyer on 1000 East Northern Lights Blvd from 11:59 p.m. to 2 a.m.  This is a chance for students to stock up on their supplies and other wares at Fred Meyer, good deals for students at this event.  Shuttles are also provided.
