Session AbstractIncludes Awards Presentation: See how people who experience limitations can have equal opportunities to participate in outdoor recreation on public lands. This session describes various efforts to increase access to outdoor recreational environments through information exchange, education, agency partnerships, accessibility assessments, and access to assistive technology devices. The presenter will provide a process and field guide for performing accessibility assessments for outdoor developed areas based on the new Access Board guidelines and universal design principles. The session also reviews the latest adaptive devices for fishing, hunting and wildlife viewing. |
