Aviation Technology

The Aviation Technology division is located at the Aviation Technology Center on Merrill Field Airport, approximately two miles north of the UAA main campus. The mission of the division is to enhance, promote and provide quality aviation education, research and service worldwide. Individuals employed in the aviation industry desiring to update skills and knowledge may take selected courses; these individuals must contact the division office about prerequisites and other lab or course requirements. The division supplies graduates for skilled and professional aviation-related positions through five academic programs of study.

FedEx Donates Boeing 727 to Aviation Technology Division

Over the past decade, FedEx has made it a corporate practice to assist schools, museums and airport fire departments by donating jets to support their educational missions. The Boeing 727 airliner will be used in ATD's aviation maintenance program. Learn more about the donation.
