The Department's faculty has nearly doubled since 2000, and with our growth has come a wealth of inspiration, knowledge, and vitality.
We are excited by the recent growth and modernization of our facilities and equipment, and by the University's commitment to expanding the "footprint" of the sciences at UAA. We are energized by our partnerships with other University colleagues and programs, as well as with the research community in and around Anchorage. Finally, we are privileged to be living and working in a truly spectacular environment. We anticipate a rapid evolution of our programs and services over the next few years. Our guiding principles are clear: we are dedicated to scientific and academic excellence. We share a common goal, to be one of the best biological science programs in the nation.
