Carole Rich, M. Ed. was the Clyde M. Reed Distinguished Professor of Journalism at the University of Kansas, where she also directed the graduate program. She served in the Atwood chair from 1998-2000 and became permanent member of the UAA faculty. She was also a reporter for the former Philadelphia Evening Bulletin, city editor of the Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Sun-Sentinel and deputy metropolitan editor of the Hartford (Connecticut) Courant.
