This course is an introduction to environmental chemistry for all science majors, taught by Dr. John Kennish.
This course is a study of the origin and evolution of the environment, energy, mineral resources, solid wastes, recycling and the effects of foreign substances on living systems. It also covers air and water pollution. The interrelationships among these problems are demonstrated and quantitative chemical principles are applied.
This course doesn't have a specific prerequisite, but the registration restriction is junior or senior standing in biology, chemistry or engineering.
