A Group information session on applying to upper division has been scheduled for Friday, October 28 at 2:00 p.m. in Cuddy Hall, in the conference room next to Room 110 (Amanda Walch's office). It will include a review of pre-requisite courses needed prior to applying as well as the application process. A teleconference line will be available for any of you who are outside of Anchorage or would prefer to call in. The number is 1-800-893-8850, PIN 6289828. Plan on about 30 minutes to go through the basic information with additional time for any questions.Applications are not due until February 15, but we want to make sure you get any final classes you need to apply in the spring if you are close. Please plan to attend if at all possible. Prior to the meeting, please review the UAA DPD Student Handbook that can be found on our website under the “Links to Resources” section. Please also bring a copy of your unofficial transcript and your plans for courses you intend to take Spring 2012. This will help you do a self-assessment of whether you meet the criteria to apply this year.

If you are not planning to apply to upper division in the Spring of 2012, you do not have to come, but you are certainly welcome. It may give you a chance to start thinking ahead and to meet some of your online classmates in person!
