Video Poems & Stories

A Thursday evenings class, from 5:30 to 7:45pm for the months of September to mid October, is advertised by a very energetic and popping website.  Take a moment to enjoy its short entertaining video, to read about and plan to enroll in the class itself - taught by Creative Writing's very own Jeffery Oliver.

Undergraduate Creative Writing Classes in the English Department

We have added a new genre to our minor (Drama and Screenwriting), updated our courses to include more upper division workshops, and added a summer introductory course that is run in conjunction with the Creative Writing and Literary Arts Low Residency MFA Program. Students read the works of visiting writers, attend nine nights of evening readings, and met with the writers whose works they had studied. View Course Listing...

In addition several new writers have joined our ranks including Peter Porco, Jeff Oliver, Mike Burnwell, Steven Hurt and Lee Goodman. Kristen DeSmith and Kathleen Tarr also taught workshops in the spring of 2011.
