IPY - International Polar Year Research
Two IPY projects are addressing global warming issues.

Snow Shrub Research
Postdoctoral scientist, Dr. Lina Taneva, is investigating the how, why and the consequences of shrub increases in northern Alaska.  This project is located at Toolik Lake in Northern Alaska. More information will be available soon.


ITEX
Postdoctoral scientist, Dr. Robert Pattison, is examining the Pan Arctic responses of plants and soils to long- term warming experiments as part of the International Tundra Experiment (ITEX). This project is in Thule, Greenland. A web page for this project is in the works.

 
Carbon Cycling Research in Thule, Greenland
