Important APS Reminder
UAA Financial Aid is unable to determine applicants' eligibility for the Alaska Performance Scholarship (APS) until after the Alaska Commission on Post-Secondary Education (ACPE) receives students' high-school transcripts from the Department of Education.
If you have applied for the APS, please check the APS portal during the first week of August. If no information appears by August 13th, contact ACPE at (1-800) 441-2962. You should be able to see your eligibility status in the portal at that time. School certification for APS-eligible students cannot occur until after September 5th. Once that date has passed, certifications will be sent to ACPE. Processed and eligible awards will start coming in approximately 7 business days afterward. Student award letters will not include APS scholarship totals due to the delayed nature of that resource.

Charge Textbooks to your Student Account
Many students are able to charge textbooks to their student accounts! Anchorage campus students can do so through the campus bookstore.
We Prefer Email
The Office of Student Financial Assistance uses UAA email accounts when communicating with students. New students will be sent one physical copy of their financial aid award letter in the mail, but all other correspondence will be sent electronically. It is therefore the student's responsibility to check their email account frequently.
If you have designated a preferred email address, will we send all further financial aid messages to that account.
If you would like a physical copy of further award letters, you can print one through your UAOnline account.
